BabyBump Mom Fitness 023Wow I did not realize it has been so long since I have written in my blog.  I have posted updates on my personal facebook.

Since I last wrote I worked up to and completed my STRONG FIRST Kettlebell certification.  Wow what a ride, one of my greatest most recent accomplishments since having my children.  Words cannot express this experience- the best is humbling and empowering at the same time.  I have always loved kettle bells and have been using them for almost 9 years now.  I first learned about them at a Strength and Conditioning weekend symposium in the USA.  I took course taught by Steve Maxwell and some of the other big names.  I came home and worked with an instructor for a bit.  Practicing hardstyle kettlebell is my preferred style now as I find it very time efficient, focuses on max tension and is geared towards improving athletic performance (which translates to practical daily life)- not actually using kettle belling as a sport.

I love Kettle bells for moms (and dads) because they are inexpensive, can easily be used at home and offer big bang for your buck.  They are the perfect tool for busy people.  My husband is now solely using them at home for both his strength and conditioning.

One workout I have given to many clients over the holiday period to maintain fitness 10 swings with 3 goblet squats- 5 rounds.   My husband had started on this program as well.  Straight to the point, no confusion.
